What a way to celebrate the end of 2014! The Final Round of the TIMETOATTACK just 2 weekends ago was likely THE circuit event of the year. The last attack saw 114 participants despite a handful of cars being forced to retire due to technical issues. One highly anticipated candidate was non other than Team Moty’s X ProArt Golf 6R with massively revised aero and all-new race engine pushing over 500whp and a ginormous rear wing protruding out of its rear windscreen. Words on the street were guessing a low 2:20 lap time and would have easily earned itself the fastest circuit Golf this part of the world. We’ll need to wait till the next attack for it to shine then.
But all disappointments aside, we have just seen a whole new milestone set. A blistering fast 2:14.903!! The fastest ever in TIMETOATTACK history! Set by the legendary Desmond Soh of Team ST Powered Singapore in their 1 of 2 Time Attack Evo 9. But their Evo 2 of 2 was in fact predicted to crush the 2:13 barrier was unfortunately hit with a engine failure during practice. Sad but true. However ST Powered vows to return this year with a greater target set.
Plenty of new and insane developments were seen at the last attack with more teams eying on the magical lap, especially the Euros with Team Exotic Mods’ Golf R receiving ever more lightweight upgrades, Team Everco with their battalion of battle Audi TTS significantly bringing down their previous lap times. Among other participants also seeing exponential progress made, this is a surefire hint to an explosive 2015 TIMETOATTACK Season.
