After teasing the car late last year, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus (SCG) had finally taken the covers off their new SCG 003. SCG claimed that this new car can double up as both a street car and a podium-grabbing race car, but the one we are focusing on right now is the Stradale which is the road-going version.
Developed by the same guys who made the Enzo-based P4/5 and also the 430 Scuderia-based P4/5 Competizione, it is not a surprise for them to call the new model the 003 as it is the third model made by SCG. Both the street and track version of the car share a carbon fiber chassis, with the twin-turbocharged V6 power plant for the Stradale is still under development.
However, it is confirmed that the race car will house an uprated version of Honda’s 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine which will deliver 530-horsepower at 6,800rpm and 700Nm (516lb-ft) of torque at 4,500rpm via a sequential gearbox.
Tipping the scales at 1,350kg, the SCG003C (Competizione) also gets a double wishbone front and rear suspension with rocker-operated KW adjustable dampers and pushrod-operated front and rear anti-roll bar.
