To grab the constructors championship at F1 is already a great achievement but to win it in two times in a row is just astonishing. Clinching the Drivers’ World Championship title as well, Mercedes decided to celebrate this achievement with a special edition of one of their best-selling AMG models in Malaysia.
Dubbed as the A45 Mercedes AMG Petronas 2015 World Championship Edition (yes, we know it is a mouthful), this hot hatch features an AMG Petronas livery with petrol green and black highlights similar to the one found on the F1 W06 Hybrid, 19-inch titanium grey wheels and a larger splitter. The car also comes with the Night Package, AMG Performance seats, AMG Exclusive package and the AMG Dynamic Plus package.
“With the World Champion Edition we would like to share with our customers our delight and pride in the strong performance of the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team,” said Tobias Moers, Mercedes-AMG CEO. “This is a way for every fan to share the success of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.”
The new A45 Mercedes AMG Petronas 2015 World Championship Edition will be unveiled at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix happening this November 26 and it will be available from January 2016 onwards. Prices in Germany starts at €65,402 (RM 295,573).
