Mazda to bring a new Sports Coupe Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show!

If there is one rumour that we have gotten tired with, it has got to be anything related to the return of the Mazda RX7. It is not that we hate this legendary rotary machine and not wanting it to return, but the rumours of the RX7’s revival has been going on for years without any credible lead in them. So when Mazda is bringing something for the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show 2015, it is safe to assume that it is not the future RX7 just yet.

Sharing only one teaser image, it shows a coupe with a curvy body with a long hood and quite possibly twin exhaust pipes. And with this image, Mazda also shared a short statement about the conceptual coupe:

“The design of the sports car concept to be unveiled in Tokyo is modern but maintains a sense of lineage and authenticity, appearing almost to condense Mazda’s entire history of sports car development into a single model.”

From the looks of it, we could say that this can stir up the RX7 rumours once again, but none of those can be confirmed just yet. Mazda will be bringing 14 models to their Tokyo Motor Show which includes the KOERU crossover concept, two racing-spec MX5s and their very first rotary engine-powered model, the Cosmo Sport.
