Despite being kicked out from BBC and is no longer a host for Top Gear, the life Jeremy Clarkson is living is not really that bad. Before he embarks to a journey in making his new motoring show alongside his two faithful mates, he will be having his last chance in going around the track he knows like the back of his hand; the Dunsfold Park Circuit aka the Top Gear Test Track.
And to make this “last ever lap” an occasion he will never forget, he needs a help in choosing which car to take around it. We have always been envious of the cars he was able to drive at Top Gear and it is no different this time around. And trying to pick between a Mercedes AMG GT, Ferrari LaFerrari and the turbocharged 488 GTB is quite tricky for him.
Of course for us, the best choice would be the Ferrari LaFerrari due to its rarity and it ticks Jezza’s “Powaaaaah” box all day. But he is also a big Mercedes fan, so the AMG GT is not out of the game just yet, and not to forget the 488 GTB is also an impressive machine with an output similar to the Lamborghini Murcielago SV.
This “last lap” comes four months after the Roundhouse charity event where Clarkson auctioned to drive around the Top Gear test track with whoever that brings the most cash. In his own words, “I’ll drive somebody around in whatever I can get hold of. I’m sacked so it’s probably an Austin Maestro. So who knows? But anyway it will be my last ever lap of the Top Gear track”.
