With a number of teasers making its rounds on the internet, the reappearance of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May in their own motoring show seemed imminent especially when they once announced that the show was just ‘weeks away’ from hitting the screens. However in an interesting yet irritating turn of events, it seems that ‘weeks away’ might be longer than just a couple of fortnights.
And the perpetrator behind this mess is on other than BBC themselves where they recently announced that a clause in the contractual bindings to the former presenters of Top Gear prohibits them from appearing in any major British TV network for two years in order to create a rival motoring show.
This simply means that the trio’s plans to appear on ITV for their Clarkson, Hammond and May show will not be airing until 2017. However, bear in mind that they could still go to other options such as signing up with internet-based network such as Netflix or even Amazon Prime.
So will we be seeing this new show appearing on the telly or will the trio be finding other alternatives to reach out to their fans as soon as possible? Whatever it is, we sure hope that they will find a way quick and no punches are involved in the process.
