Drivers Melvin Moh, Dominic Ang and Adrian D’Silva piloted the team’s Ferrari 458 GT3 for a grueling 12 hours, and was placed fifth overall, finishing one lap behind Craft Bamboo Racing.
During the fifth stint, when Dominic was passing the car to Melvin, a technical malfunction caused #27 to lose some precious time and laps,thus widening the gap between them, Clearwater Racing and Craft Bamboo Racing.
After Dominic passed the Ferrari to Melvin, he took the sixth position, furiously chasing Clearwater Racing, Craft Bamboo Racing and Absolute Racing. By 11 pm, Nexus Racing has completed their tenth and final driver change, with Dominic handing the Ferrari over to Melvin. They managed to gun to fifth position overall, after Craft Bamboo Racing’s Aston got stuck in the pits due to technical faults. Melvin Moh was the driver responsible to pilot the team’s Ferrari 458 GT3 during the last stint, which ended at 12 am.
Despite some odds against them, the guys at Nexus Racing performed admirably throughout the whole 12 hour stint.
Nexus Racing, despite not getting a podium finish, did managed to secure one of the fastest lap times during the race, clocking 2:05:904, which was achieved on lap 226, thanks to Dominic Ang.
