Famed for tuning German machines like Mercedes into powerful road cruisers, BRABUS made another historic mark today in the Malaysian automotive scene with the launching of the new Showroom and Performance Centre in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. The launch was witnessed by Datuk Wira HJ SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, NAZA Group of Companies Joint Group Executive Chairman, Mr. Christoph Dietze, BRABUS Regional Sales Manager for Asia-Pacific and Africa and Mr. David Hector Ratnaike, Vice President, 4-Wheel Division of NAZA World Group of Companies.
“The opening of a new showroom and performance centre mirrors our desire to make ownership of a high performance luxury brand such as BRABUS easier for our esteemed customers. We chose Glenmarie’s based on its immense growth as an automotive industrial hub in the Klang Valley of late, with the location being a convenient one for many of our customers as well,” said Datuk Wira HJ SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin.
The new BRABUS Showroom in Glenmarie features a 5,000 sq ft floor displaying models like the BRABUS ML Widestar, BRABUS iBusiness S class and the BRABUS SLK. The showroom also performs interior and exterior customization and online configurations for their BRABUS cars in the showroom.
Only 500 meters away is the new Performance Centre and this 25,000 sq ft facility boasts eight service bays and manned by trained BRABUS technicians. The Performance Centre acts as a one-stop centre for Mercedes-Benz and BRABUS owners, offering services like BRABUS kit conversions, engine tuning, performance upgrades, scheduled maintenance and repairs.
Making a special appearance during the launch was the stunning BRABUS CLS Rocket 730, a perfect example of what BRABUS can achieve behind the walls of the new Performance Centre. Based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG which is already a beast, extensive upgrades are being thrown in by BRABUS resulting in the 5.5-liter bi-turbo engine producing a massive 730-horsepower and 1,065Nm of torque. Zerotohundred takes only 3.8 seconds and it has a top speed of 350km/h.
“The BRABUS CLS Rocket 730 displayed here is testament to what the skilled, hardworking team behind our new Performance Centre in Glenmarie is capable of creating a 730hp and 1,065Nm beast capable of 350kph is no easy feat, and it isn’t the limit to what we can offer to our customers either. Hopefully, this spurs owners to undertake more adventurous BRABUS upgrades with their cars in the future,” he added.
