The Lamborghini Huracan, successor to the baby Gallardo that was introduced earlier this year has been quite of the success story for Lamborghini. In a short span of just 10 months since its introduction, Lamborghini has managed to sell 3,000 units of their newest model. Compare that to the 1,001 units of Aventador sold in the whole of 2013. Comparing to the Gallardo, Lamborghini sold about 2,000 units, on average, per year. Lamborghini is optimistic to hit a sales figure of 3,600 by year’s end.

Looking closer at the numbers, one third of the Huracans sold went to the United States. COO Lamborghini S.p.A, Alessandro Farmeschi said, “We’ve worked together with our dealer partners to outline their launch outreach strategy from a new perspective. How to make their events and communications bold yet welcoming. As a result, we are watching a success story unfold. As the Huracán arrives in-market, consumers are anxiously waiting to experience this vehicle which is a direct result of these targeted events.”
