Earlier last month, British rally champion Mark Higgins took the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI to the fearsome 60-kilometer course of the Isle of Man TT and broke his own record. With an average speed of 187.4km/h, he blasted through the course in 19 minutes and 26 seconds, beating his old record set in 2011 with a time of 19 minutes and 56.7 seconds.
On such a tricky course, we could not imagine how it would have looked like inside the Subaru Mark was piloting. But now we are able to experience this thrilling journey as the onboard video of this record breaking run has been released.
But what is more amazing was that Mark himself admitted that he had done a couple of mistakes in the lap and he could go faster than the 19 minutes and 26 seconds posted earlier. He went out once again a couple of days later and the result? He had set the bar a tad higher as with an average speed of 189.07km/h, Mark had posted a new record with a timing of 19 minutes and 15 seconds.
So how exactly did he post this record breaking timing? Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
