BMW launches the special edition Z4 sDrive 20i GT in Japan

In yet another special edition launched by BMW for the Land of the Rising Sun, the Bavarian automaker recently launched a limited edition of the Z4 called the sDrive 20i GT. Made to commemorate the Z4 GT3’s 1-2 finish in the opening round of the 2014 Super GT, only 60 units will be rolling out the production lines.

Of course, one will not be finding the mighty V8 powering the GT3 version in this sDrive 20i GT. It will still be powered by the base model’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine pushing out 181-horsepower. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends the power to the rear, it goes from zerotohundred in 6.9 seconds.

The GT differs from the standard Z4 from its equipment and colors, where the GT is offered in Alpine White exterior paint with M stripes decorating the front bumper. It also comes with the M Sport package that includes 19-inch wheels, and an Interior Design package which bathes the cabin with the combination of leather and Alcantara with orange stitching.

The price for this limited Z4 sDrive 20i GT starts at USD 59,800 or RM 189,856.
