Honda Malaysia has made the 3rd generation Honda Jazz official today, at their launch event at Symphony Lake Suite, KLCC.

The 2014 Honda Jazz was recently being teased to the public all around Malaysia, and as of today, has finally been made official. It will be available in three trim levels, namely the Jazz 1.5E, 1.5S and 1.5V.
New Jazz in a nutshell To put it nice and simple, the new Jazz is basically the hatchback variant of the 2013 Honda City we have gotten used to. Both cars shares the identical engine and gearbox. Even on the safety front, the Jazz 1.5 V gets 6 airbags and VSA, similar to the City 1.5 V.
Exterior
On the outside, the new Jazz has been completely redesigned over the previous generation. Like the City, the new Jazz has curves (literally!) flowing from the front end to the rear end. The rear bumper also has cutouts that reflects the front air intakes. Also new are the 16″ wheels that adorn the Jazz. The new Jazz will be available in 5 colors, namely the new Tinted Silver, Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic, Tafetta White, Crystal Black Pearl and Modern Steel Metallic. For the first time ever, Honda Malaysia will offer both the Modulo and Mugen bodykit for potential Jazz buyers.
Interior
Moving onto the inside, the Jazz 1.5V features a 7″ touchscreen LCD display, a touch panel auto air conditioning, steering wheel mounted audio controls, USB and HDMI ports as well as a push start button. The 1.5S and 1.5E will make do without the LCD display and touch controls. The ULTRA Seats, a feature that has made synonymous with the Jazz nameplate has also been carried over the outgoing model. The new Jazz has a total of 9 cupholders for practicality.

Safety
Honda has not forgotten the safety aspects of the Jazz, so to fulfill that criteria, Honda has equipped the Jazz with 6 airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and ABS (Antilock Braking System). Honda Malaysia is confident that the new Jazz will score the maximum 5 stars for the ASEAN NCAP crash test.
The new Jazz is now available from RM72,800 for the baseline Jazz 1.5S, RM78,800 for the mid-line 1.5E and RM87,800 for the range topper 1.5V. Honda Malaysia is offering a 5 year warranty with unlimited mileage with every purchase of the Jazz. Also, for the peace of mind for buyers, the Jazz’s service interval is now every 10,000km.
