With an impressive and encouraging performance displayed by the team in Race 1, team FXPrimus Aylezo returned to Shanghai International Circuit for one last time in the 2013 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series season for Round 5’s Race 2. The recent podium finish had definitely lifted the spirits for everyone in the team, and they were focusing all their efforts in securing another encouraging finish over at Shanghai.

In this second race, the team faced quite a number of challenges from the drivers around. Starting the race from sixth position on the grid, the team’s car was hit by car No.63 as they were negotiating Turn 1, causing team FXPrimus Aylezo to drop down two positions into eighth. Determined to improve the position, Dilantha buffed up and slithered through the crowd and although they got into contact once more, this time with car No.66, the improved car condition meant that he could actually give a fierce chase to the other drivers.

Trying his best to avoid any serious damages from plaguing the car, Dilantha passed the wheels to Zen halfway through the race. Dilantha’s skilful driving had allowed Zen to resume the race in fourth position, which he then continued the team’s strong charge to the finish line. As soon as Zen entered the circuit, he made it a mission to pass car No.63 and take the third position overall. That was actually not a big task for him as he managed to do so soon enough, but the race was still far from over and others also wanted a podium finish.

Relentlessly pursuing FXPrimus Aylezo’s car No.69 was car No.66 and since the car in the second position was quite far ahead, Zen had to switch to defensive mode to secure the valuable podium finish in the overall standings. The fight was in no doubt being really tough, but Zen managed to defend the position until the end of the race. To show how close No.66 was, they were only one car length away from the team’s Gallardo when they crossed the finish line.

With that, team FXPrimus Aylezo concludes their second Shanghai trip with another second place finish in the Pro-Am category, but this time was accompanied a third overall. The team was hyped with the results and is already looking forward for Round 6 taking place in Macau.
