After days prepping the car up, finally FXPrimus Aylezo’s baby Bull will get the opportunity to taste the tarmac over at the Shanghai International Circuit as the first unofficial practice session for the 2013 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series Round 1 opens up.
The aerokit had also been fully fitted onto the car, leaving the mechanics on the task of fine tuning the canards and spoiler for the desired downforce.
Since the Super Trofeo Asia Round 1 is a part of the China Touring Car Championship, happening at the same weekend, the circuit was filled with high-speed cars, all warming up to get a better understanding of the 5.451 km circuit. From the GT cars all the way to the non-compromising open-wheel types, the circuit was quickly brought to life by these loud-roaring machines.
Shortly after the Formula cars had shown their might, it was time for the bulls to roam the circuit. And taking FXPrimus Aylezo’s Gallardo down to the circuit for the first time was Dilantha as he got more experience in handling such machine, like his own Gallardo GT3.
The drivers were in high spirits in taking the bull for an outing, and put on their game faces straight away when entering the cockpit.
Once the practice session was opened, the Super Trofeos began to pour into the circuit…

This unofficial practice is also very vital for the team as this is not only where they learn how the car reacts,…
…but also to decide on the race strategy that they will be implementing. The tires play a very important role in any race, and limited to only three sets of tires for every round, the team would have to carefully control the tire usage so that they could get the best of it during both qualifying and raceday.
Before you know it, the practice session was done in a flash and both the drivers managed to clock fast times during their first rundown. As Dilantha has driven around the circuit countless times and grabbing a few wins while he was on it, he passed down a few tips and advices to Zen in mastering the circuit.
Both the drivers really need to wring out the best out from the car and the circuit as soon as possible since the qualifying session is right the day after.
