With the Formula One circus about to grace our shore next month, Sepang International Circuit (SIC) has provided a special offering after just having announced that tickets for the race just went on sale and especially for those who carry a 1Malaysia Privilege Card, Kad Diskaun Siswa 1Malaysia, Kad Pesara Tentera, Kad Orang Kurang Upaya and Kad Skuad Pengguna – which are issued by Bank Rakyat, now allows them to purchase a Grandstand ticket for the price of RM200 plus an administrative fee of RM3, effective from today onwards.
The grandstand seats available for purchase include the North and South Towers, Topaz and Citrine areas of the Main Grandstand. However, this offer is only available for direct purchases at KL Sentral, Suria KLCC and at SIC’s Customer Service Counter.
The list of locations will soon be expanding to include the upcoming F1 roadshows, which should be fairly soon with SIC mentioning that an announcement will be made shortly, according to SIC Chief Executive Officer Dato Razlan Razali.
However, there will only be 5,000 tickets available from now till 17th March, a week before raceday on 20th March 2013
In order to make a purchase, card holders will need to present their IC along with their aforementioned cards at the respective locations mentioned earlier with each card holder only able to purchase a maximum of 4 tickets for this promotional program.
Each ticket will entitle the holder to access to the F1 after-race concert at the SIC Helipad which will be featuring Guns & Roses, as well as a host of some exciting off-track activities at the circuit during the three-day event.
Such activities include the ultimate taxi ride, drifting, rallying, go-karting and an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) experience. Included in the mix will be F1 merchandises and other motorsports goodies to be had.
Soon to be arriving, prior to Malaysia taking centre-stage come race day will be events that will include the likes of the Malaysian GP Sale, concerts by international artists, autoshows, an F1 Gala Dinner and the PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix Showcase.
Facing the back straight of a unique double-frontage Sepang Circuit, seats at Tower South, Topaz and Citrine provide excellent views from the sharp Turn 9 and through a series of fast corners at Turn 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 before the cars would go full speed on a long straight into the final Turn 15.
Tickets for seats at Topaz zone are currently selling at RM773 while Citrine and Tower South are priced at RM553.
Also priced at RM553, Tower North, faces the start of the front straight; allowing spectators to catch the view of the start of the race as well as the team mechanics and crew members making their final preparations before the start.
