Caterham Unveils their Venture in Motorcycles with Caterham Bikes at EICMA 2013!

Caterham Brutus 750[3]

Caterham is well-known for their lightweight, no-frills track toys that could take the driver from zerotohundred faster than he could blink. But it seems that going four wheels is not enough for Caterham as they had just officially announced the creation of Caterham Bikes, their first ever motorcycle division.

Caterham Classic e-bike 02[3]

This new motorcycle maker debuts at the International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan this November 5 – 10. And accompanying Caterham Bike’s debut are three prototype products: the Brutus 750, Classic E-Bike and the Carbon E-Bike. With an automatic transmission, the Brutus 750 can either be a street bike, off-roader or even a snowmobile, with the conversion taking less than four hours.

The Classic E-Bike is meant to be a tribute to the golden age of British motorcycling, and this bike has a range up to 40-80 km and can be driven without a license in the EU. The Carbon E-Bike on the other hand is more of a premium bike with modern styling inspired by F1 technology. Caterham is lining up a limited edition featuring exclusive F1 materials and input. Production will kick start in spring of 2014, starting off with the Brutus 750.

Caterham Bike will be focusing its market in Asia, where there is strong demand for two-wheeled vehicles. But they will also be selling the products in Europe, North America and South America.
