Fell in love with Lexus’ LF-CC Concept? Then this will be good news for you as Lexus has just revealed their all new 2014 Lexus IS, and it looks very similar to the stunning concept car. From the aggressive front grille to the sharp rear lights, this new IS might have been toned down from the concept but it is still very much a looker.
This third generation Lexus IS will be taking the stage on January 15 at the 2013 North American International Auto Show for its global debut and will come in three main variants; the IS 250, IS 350 and the wilder F Sport. Adopting their signature design element called the “spindle grille”, the IS’ new frontal feature is a single-frame, hour glass-like grille that is now seen fitted on the GS and LS sedans.
And the grille is not the only unique feature on this new IS, as Lexus had fitted this third-gen with some pretty interesting headlights that one could call both unusual and attractive as well. The L-shaped Daytime-Running Lights are separated from the main lights and looks like Nike’s “swoosh” logo from a certain angle. The front fenders are also flared to a certain extent, giving it a wider look than the car really is.
And the goodies keep on running to the inside where aside from the increased width and wheelbase length giving out a roomier space for the rear seats and luggage capacity, the interior design now has more character with inspiration gained from the jaw-dropping LFA. The cabin now uses higher quality materials, and this “Rioja Red” interior color scheme just looks fantastic.
For the time being, Lexus had yet to release any further details on this new sporty sedan, which are unlikely to be released until the official debut takes place this January 15.
