If you are still holding on to the mindset of leaving your car at a well-lit petrol station for just a few moments with the keys in the ignition is safe, then you are very wrong. Criminals these days are not sloppy, sluggish or afraid anymore. They strike when you least expect them to be, and it only takes a couple of seconds for them to snatch your prized possession off your hands.
A great example to illustrate the swiftness of these criminals is this video obtained from a closed-circuit television at a petrol station over in Europe. Here we have a yellow Porsche 911 that was left unattended; presumably the driver might be at the counters or probably making a short dash to the washroom. But those short seconds was more than enough for the criminals to make a move and make the Porsche vanish into thin air.

Approaching the brightly-colored Porsche from the side in a BMW M5, the criminals acted calmly as if they needed to fill up their tank. But as the passenger exited the Bimmer and had a short peek through the target’s window, he instantly made his move and drove away in the Porsche, which seems to be a Carrera 4S. Everything went so smooth and composed that throughout the course of the incident, not even the attendants noticed anything about the theft.
As a friendly reminder, such incident could happen to anyone, and it is not restricted only at petrol stations. And if the story ends with the loss of one’s car, it might not be that tragic. It could be worse if they sped away with your car and probably with also your loved ones inside. Remember, always put safety as the number one priority.
