Headed for the 2012 Paris Motorshow is a car from Maserati that needs very little introduction since the GranTurismo almost always pops into mind once you mention the Italian sports car manufacturer.
Though Maserati has released many versions of their flag-ship sports coupe, we suppose its now time for some pep for its cabriolet variant and here it is – the GranCabrio MC that sits upon the GT platform.
The GranCabrio MC’s inherits the MC Stradale Coupe’s front end that now makes it 48mm longer than the standard and sport versions of the GranCabrio and it also possesses the large all important down-force (or negative-lift if you like) producing rear spoiler to help keep all that 444bhp and 510Nm of torque from its Ferrari-sourced 4.7L V8 mated to a 6-speed auto transmission from breaking loose and violently running amuck.
So far, Maserati isn’t letting the cat out of the bag entirely just yet, obviously with more to come within the next few days so stay tuned!
