From the company that helped build Toyota’s F1 chargers, Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) has unveiled a super sedan that’s named the TMG Sports 650 – based on the Lexus LS luxury sedan, the TMG Sports 650 boasts 650ps (641bhp) from its 5.0L twin-turbo V8 with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The TMG sports hood and side vents for some obvious cooling reasons, while arches have been obviously flared to fit some fat rubbers to handle grip duties. Unfortunately, technical specs aren’t available for the time being, but according to their Facebook page, the Sport 650 has been aero-tuned within TMG’s wind-tunnel to help keep it well planted to the tarmac.
Currently, the TMG Sport 650 is said to be making its official debut at the Essen Motor Show sometime in December 2012 and while there aren’t any F1 cars being made for Toyota, TMG’s expertise is by far invaluable to discard, leading to the next possible step for the company to become Toyota’s factory performance tuning arm; a sort of M division for BMW if you like.
