Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has just launched their fully imported Nissan Elgrand and improved Nissan Murano!
The Elgrand, nicknamed the “King of Minivans”, gets some upgrades that includes the likes of their ‘Captain Seat’ for both front and second row passengers. Such upgrades now incorporates seat cushion-integrated leg rests, articulated seatback, and three-layered cushion pads; making it the only automaker to adopt all three technologies that emulates being seated in First Class of an airliner’s seat. Its interior features dark espresso leather and gradation wood-tone panel for that luxury feel.
The minivan King also offers passengers with easy entry and exit via its large automatic sliding rear-door, separate dual-zone automatic climate controls for front and rear cabins, a private theatre entertainment system and an advance Around View Monitor parking camera for those tight spots.
The Elgrand’s all-new-platform now has a lower centre of gravity so drivers are able to exploit its 3.5L V6 engine that provides 276bhp at 6,400rpm and 344Nm of torque at 4,400rpm, to get those stylish Chrome-coated and polished 18″ aluminum-alloy wheels spinning with much vigour.
Exterior colours come with a choice of White Pearl, Brilliant Silver, Dark Purple or Black.
The award-winning Nissan Murano premium SUV, however, gets upgrades in the form of a refreshed grille, a redesigned front bumper, 5-Y spoked 18″ alloy wheels, newly designed LED tail-lights and an integrated dual exhaust outlets.
The interior enhancements include double stitched leather seats, ‘Fine Vision Meter’ reading instruments, a redesigned centre console with improved rotary controls, a newly positioned central display that provides greater visibility and a USB port for your personal tunes.
The Murano’s 3.5L V6 engine gets 20bhp and 8Nm less than the Elgrand, settling with 256bhp at 6,000rpm and 336Nm of torque at 4,400rpm, which is coupled to an advanced X-tronic CVT transmission with an intelligent all-wheel drive system.
Both Elgrand and Murano are fully imported from Japan and retails from RM384,863.20 and RM318,882.50 OTR respectively; excluding road tax, insurance and registration.
Both vehicles come with a 3-year or 100,000km warranty whichever comes first and is supported by ETCM’s 24 hours road-side assistance After Sales Service provides, which includes towing and minor-on-the-spot repairs within Malaysia.
The all-new Nissan Elgrand and the improved Nissan Murano can be exclusively viewed at selected Nissan showrooms nationwide from 21st April 2012 onwards.
