The iconic British Luxury car maker, Bentley is back at the Paris Motorshow and it’s brought along with it a high-performance ‘concept’ that will be the newest member of the Bentley family – the Continental GT3, which will mark the company’s return to motorsports.
Bentley hasn’t exactly been consistently competing in the motorsports arena since they last claimed some bragging rights at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2003) and now they’re obviously making a charge to the top by transforming one of their cars into a competent racer.
Technical details are yet to be had for the moment, but Bentley this is what it will look like once on the track with a rear-wheel drive setup, some large negative-lift inducing aero-package and of course the latest gadgetry and telemetry gizmos embedded within it’s innards. However, we’re certain Bentley’s W12 configured engine will be headed under the hood, pushing some ridiculous performance figures down the throats of their competition.
The Continental GT3 is slated to be sitting pretty in the pits by the end of 2013, with multiple series and events line-up for it – inclusive of endurance-based racing – pretty sure that’ll include Le Mans as well.
