The Aston Martin Vanquish (2013) has just made its North American debut, draped in a colour that we wouldn’t say helps to exude the car’s finer qualities of a thoroughbred, till they turned on that beasty 6.0L V12 engine with 565bhp and 620Nm of torque. Admittedly, we instantly became colour-blind.
Albeit, the engineers at Aston Martin has graciously made the VH platform of the 2013 Vanquish about 25% stiffer from before and even though it still got the usual 6.0L V12 under the hood that’s good for 4.1s sprints to 100kmh, it seems to be singing to a different tune all together.
The interior of the 2013 Vanquish has borrowed heavily from the One-77, especially with the use of LEDs, but there is going to be something unfamiliar with the introduction of a newly designed steering wheel and the inclusion of a larger trunk that’ll offer more space than a Volkswagen Golf.
That aside, hit the play button and listen to that sweet V12 tune that’s being played by Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, as he revs the engine for all to hear.
