Volkswagen’s Beetle has been an iconic vehicle for the longest time, having been born in 1938 with 21 million units manufactured and a cult-like following from days of ‘gold’ till curent. The Beetle has somehow touched our lives (young and old) in more ways than one. Now behold the next generation Beetle, tuned by ABT Sportsline, that which possesses 240bhp!Having an extra 40bhp more than the standard Beetle,The ABT Tuned Beetle’s exhaust system includes 2 oval ABT rear mufflers should provide a deeper more brutish tone and ABT has gone all out to try and make this particular Beetle in their hands; one that looks cheeky and dynamic, even before you turn the key.
Even with its current modern styling, the Beetle’s retro DNA can still be readily identified even though it’s got aggressive-looking headlight covers versus Herbie’s cute-looking ones that made it so much more easier to love.
Sporting a new front spoiler, it seems to convey the message that this particular Beetle will never be seen airborne, especially with a choice of 18″-20″ rims wrapped by sport tyres in either DR or CR designs that seem to match the Beetle’s silhouette and contours rather well.
This particular Beetle will be outfitted by ABT’s signature black-painted performance calipers that bears the ABT Logo. Lastly, the Beetle will also be receiving a new set of springs for the suspension, just to ’round things off’ from the list.
