Video: The Return of Lotus F1

A great video showing the return of Lotus F1 onto the Formula One grid. It has been 16 years since Lotus last raced in Formula One but judging from the video above, they have lost none of their desire to compete and win. Now backed by a consortium of Malaysian companies and the Malaysian government, the F1 world is enthusiastic to see the classic marque back doing what it once did best, race.

To all Malaysians,

It doesn't matter what we think or feel about this venture, we're all already in for the ride. No amount of noise and bickering is going to change that, being in Formula One is no joke, the world is watching us, screw our politicians antics, we as Malaysians are better than that, show your support ... Lets go racing ...

All we can do is pray it doesn't end up like another Spyker....

errr.. can I support Mercedes GP Petronas instead. That team sounds more credible, still Malaysia backed and they actually got a chance at podium!

Since I can choose two Malaysian linked teams, I don't see why I should pick the back marker. Maybe when they've proven some credibility in a few years, I'll start supporting them.

From Autosport Live:

"@mylotusracing: Sun is finally shining at Jerez and we've got Robbie Williams & The Pouges on our playlist here, brilliant way to start the morning!"

I'm thinking, why don't the team just drop the 'Malaysian' pretense, and just portray the team honestly as it really is. People will still support them and would appreciate the sincerity rather than the insult.
