Last nights dinner topic was Subaru and the number of editions they have. We were talking about how hard it is keeping up with all the models they have churned out over the years and that you actually have to be a hardcore, die-hard, never say never Suby fan if you were to keep up with all the models on the road today. Just last week Subaru introduced the hardcore R205 and now we have a new model, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI A-Line Type S (try saying that fast three times).
So while the R205 was a go-faster version of the regular WRX STI, the A-Line Type S we bring to you today is mostly a trim package. The package includes 18-inch gunmetal rims, gold Brembo brake calipers and Recaro buckets in a cockpit decked out with contrasting red top-stitch and a 10-speaker audio system. As for performance, it performs just as well as the regular STI and commands a price of circa US$35,000. The Impreza WRX STI A-Line Type S is a JDM only model so there are two ways for you to check it out, one is two travel to Japan and the other is to check out the gallery below.
