A couple of months ago, rumour surfaced that Lamborghini could be working on a topless version of its most exclusive model ever – the F22 inspired Reventon. Now word has it that Lambo showed off its most expensive model ever to a select group of people so wealthy that mere mortals like us will never understand. Based on the Murcielago, the original all carbon fiber Reventon was limited to 20 units (plus one for the museum) and cost just about $1 million.
The statistics show that as a Reventon owner, you have a 19 out of 6.5 billion chance of running into another person driving the same car as you. Not exclusive enough? This is where the new drop top Reventon comes in. It’s to be limited to just 9 examples making it more than twice as exclusive as the Reventon but with a price tag of $1.6million, it had better be really exclusive.
So what’s the difference? Besides loosing its roof, the Reventon Roadster will be more powerful than its hard-top cousins, as the roadster will get the LP670-4 SV’s stonking 6.5-liter V12 which churns out 670 horses and 478 lb-ft of torque. The chances of any of us seeing one of the raging bulls on our Malaysian roads? Quite close to nil!
