Shell 1 Litre Challenge: Perak Has Found Its Winner!

The Shell 1 Litre Challenge campaign is back and this time it took on the state of Perak and after much light throttle driving, the Perak State Winner has been announced – Mr Low Kah Choon (24), who clocked in 23.17km using only 1 litre of Shell FuelSave Unleaded Petrol.

This Campaign further complements the recent introduction of Shell’s most advanced fuel economy formula, the Shell FuelSave Unleaded petrol, formulated to help motorists save up to one litre with every full tank.

The Perak State winner won prizes worth more than RM3,000 and defeated 11 other finalists. The results of the Perak Challenge leg are as follows:

The two day event took place at the RDS Petroza Shell Station on Jln Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh and was the third stop of the Shell 1 Litre Challenge.The Challenge will also take place in three major cities; Melaka, Johor Bahru and Kuantan.

Mr Low Kah Choon (24) will be joining the Selangor State Winner, Mr Ho Chee Ming (27) and Penang State Winner, Mr Alan Foo (28) in the National Finals, who clocked in 21.38km and 17.75km respectively. They will be joined by three other State Winners who will be contending for the title of National Champion in the Finals to be hosted in Kuala Lumpur on 12 December 2009.

yes... the type of car and the engine they running with the fuel is the most important to justify the result rather htan just plain 1L to xxxkm mileage... more to marketing gimmick to gain more market share for me...

they are using about 12cars..all are corolla altis 1.6..
provided by shell..stock standard cars..

it's not about onli gainning the market share..

have u all when to the shell fuel challenge??
why the other petrol company dont dare to challenge shell??
hope u all can be there..to make urself more clear..
other petrol company are welcome to take the challenge..

There are not competition details. Since the contest is ongoing, why isn't the contest details like cars used are released? This was asked since the first challenge. Everyone was assuming the cars used was their own! So if abe20 is correct in saying that the cars of similar spec is provided by shell, which is a fair playing ground. But what are the challenges? Is it a matter of doing a roundabout for as long as possible?

shell set the distance, for example perak chall. the contestants have to traveled from ipoh to tapah..and went back to ipoh..with a full tank of shell ron95..who used less or saved more petrol during the challenge win the race la..
there are traffic police superbike escotting the contestants one by one,along the challenge..like sultan..
and the fuel that they used is arround below rm10 for the ipoh-tapah-ipoh travelling...

I know we going to win this race... Easy job man! Bring the Toyota Prius in then, confirmed will win forever as long as you don't speed over 100kmj-1! Wahahaha....
