Just mere hours before the official unveiling of the 2011 BMW 5-Series, a batch of photos of the new car have leaked into the internet. The official unveiling happens tomorrow – the 23rd of November 2009 – but these new pictures have shown enough of the new 5 to aid with imagining how the front-end of the car will look like.

Codenamed F10, the design of the new 5 – with it’s new headlights, bigger kidney grille and overall size – is rather unsurprising and speaks the same design language as the 5-Series GT which in turn was inspired by the latest 7-Series.

Expect the new 5 to be offered with the same engine and model variants as the current E60 models plus a new mix of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines.

Unless someone drops the lid on the new sixth-generation 5-Series earlier, we’ll have all the information on the car when it’s officially launched later tomorrow.

Sweet...its design is a big departure from the previous 5 series...seems to have been toned down somewhat...can't wait to see what the M5 version will look like!

Front looks too tame and somewhat out of shape. But back is fine though if this is how it will look.
Have to see the real thing first..
