More footage of the eagerly anticipated Honda HSV-10 GT – the spiritual successor to the legendary NSX. Though it shares nothing at all with the outgoing model, the HSV-10 GT has been tasked with succeeding the NSX’as legacy in the Japan Super GT Championship. And though there’s no news yet on whether or not the HSV-10 GT will make it to production, the fact can’t be discounted. The car is basically the same car that Honda was working on as a road-going large scale production model successor to the NSX, but the program was scrapped due to the economic crisis.
Now thanks to new Super GT rules, all cars will have to be front engine and rear wheel driven, effectively driving the NSX out of the race. Honda found some sort of a loophole in the rules and now leading Honda’s charge in the Super GT series will be the 500hp 3.4-liter V8 HSV-10 GT.
