Video: The World’s Fastest R35 GTR

xanavi-nismo-gtr

This won’t be the last time you read this as the “Worlds Fastest” title is always up for contention. But the current holder of the world fastest R35 GTR title is the Xanavi Nismo GTR – the Super GT racer that visited Malaysia a few months ago. It even did a few doughnuts at the Sunway Pyramid parking lot – showing off it’s V8 sourced 500hp.

The guys at SpeedHunters have gone a step further and went behind the scenes to learn how the car works and filmed it doing what it does best – tearing up circuits. Click here to view the video.

i feel damn pity for NSX... nissan and toyota has gone through a few model change such as R32, R33, Z33, Supra
now they all are using V8 engine to produce more than 500hp, GT-R and SC430

but honda still a V6 3.5L with less than 500hp :(

eventho nsx still using old engine, it can still give a good fight against the newer cars. They are among the front runners in Super GT. Even the road car in standard form is faster than most newer cars, R34 GT-R included

The NSX is very, very quick through corners but it loses out to all the Turbo Jap supercars on the straights, unfortunately

HONDA should build more powerful engine for their NSX to compete with those rival. Heard they build the V10 engine in near future, 2015 if not mistaken.

they are sticking with the VK45DE because the proper VR38DETT powerd GT car isnt ready just yet. Maybe next season they'll start using the GTR with VR38DETT. For now, its just a GTR shell with V8 engine. So, basically it isnt really a GTR afterall.

t_danker:

yes im sure. Best motoring did a test before among all the japanese sportscars and a porsche 911, and the nsx was the fastest in a quarter mile drag, and iinm had the fastest speed on the oval track. And the nsx used was the nsx type S, not even the newer nsx-r. In another best motoring video, they had a race between all the supercars including murcielago, nsx-r, m3, 911 turbo, etc, and the nsx was quicker than the murcielago, but eventually lose out due to this long straight line on the track. U can try look for the video on youtube. And on Top Gear, the nsx-r was faster than the ferrari maranello, and it was on a wet track. I think i type too much already :P

The NSX is a good car. Its probably the only real mid engine sportscar to come from japan. But sadly like what Keshy put up the article few weeks back, it will be FR. Noooooooo!!!!!

nsx is one of the best cars ever to come out of japan... period... well balance and engineered ahead of its time.. track focus but not compromising road comfort.. but bloody hell expensive to maintain.. shamefully nissan used a vk45de on the gtr r35.. unlike the rb's which was always maintained on the r34... we can see where nissan direction is in the future.. more sales , less passion..
