Jaguar revealed this in total silence. There was no word on its hottest XK to date till the last minute when it was revealed in Paris. The XKR-S packs a 4.2-liter V8 that delivers 420-hp to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox equipped with Jag’s Sequential Shift system. The engine and the shifts propels the big cat from 0-100 in 5.2 seconds and onto a top speed of 280km/h, officially making it the fastest production Jaguar since the controversial XJ220 supercar.
The XK also features a revised suspension set-up with new springs, dampers, a larger rear anti-roll bar and a recalibrated CATS (Computer Active Technology Suspension) system. To balance out the package and keep everything manageable Jag threw in an active exhaust, revised aerodynamic aids and massive 400mm (front) and 350mm (rear) Alcon R Performance brakes.
The Jaguar XKR-S will be limited to only 200 cars in both left and right hand drive and possibly to Europe only. Click here for more info
