German Prince Crashes Rare Gemballa Carrera GT

9080724004mini3lWhile people like you and I lust over dream machines like the Porsche Carrera GT, there are people out there who can look past the €225,000 asking price for the standard Carrera GT and settle for the Gemballa Carrera GT that commands a price tag nearly double that of the standard Carrera.

Here’s German Prince Marcus Eberhard Edward of Anhalt, Duke of Saxony and Westphalia, Count of Askania, and his what was once a Gemballa Carrera GT. In great spirit, the Prince himself uploaded the pictures onto the net for your viewing pleasure.

Well known for his jetset lifestyle and international table-dance club chain “Pure Platinum” as well as an extensive supercar collection, Prince Marcus recently had the displeasure of crashing his Gemballa at the famous Paul Ricard circuit in France. Judging from the severe damage, I’m guessing His Highness must have really been driving the supercar as it’s supposed to be driven, hard. Repair cost? Not a problem for sure.

looks like he went off the track while aiming for a fast right hander and straight to the 'soft' barrier or track wall with the back end dive first directly to the wall.

The left rear suspension is severly damaged. I wonder if it's even repair-able. The rear left tyres were pushed inside the tyre well hence the suspension might just 'touch' the engine compartment. Hmm.. for sure the repair cost is going to cost a nuke.

I like the color. :P

It can be repaired. The damage not as extensive. The bodywork is somewhat intact. But if he was a serious racer, i think he would fix and sell it in the open market. Some racers would think twice to do a fast lap with a repaired car. At the door, is that an airbag?
