The points is seriously stupid. Even in gymnastics where a human ability is tested more, is rare in giving out a perfect 10. So the point system in D1 is not giving a good impression on whats happening. Eventually you always see drivers loosing only by .1 point for a top spot. I mean if the last 8 or 4 you can use that outrageous point system. But for top 16? And even qualifying!! What gives?

i think next time we have a reality based D1 series with phone votes and see who is the better driver. hahaha.

the point given away are really crazy...
sumtimes unbelieveable...i have seen in D1GP 2007 at suzuka...the point was like 100 and then 99.98...99.97....sumthing like that...the point scoring was unconvincing or the competitor were done a near perfect work??

yet...last year D1Gp at Fuji speedway...if i can remember clearly there was more than 8drifters who get full 100 point which then the rank was given based on entry speed. Ueno Takahiro claim the top spot for highest entry speed although base on vcd i bought..he was more than meter away from the hairpin clipping point...yet 100 given....its never really clear how the point deduct coz there is only one drift king.

all i know is points are minus fraction by fraction if drifters doing mistake from 100. if a drifter get 99.95 mean he did 0.05 of mistake

the only way to get better point judging is when the judges die or something. hahaha. Anyway i do watch D1 videos too. You could buy those from Anime shops in KL. One of it is Classic Anime in Times Square.
