DuPont knows a thing or two about car colors, being a leading supplier of paint and coatings to the global auto industry since Fuscia was officially recognized as a legitimate hue. The company has just released its 2008 Automotive Color Popularity Report and lighter colours like silver and white are statistically the most popular car color this side of the world (China, Japan, South Korea are the closest we get to Malaysia)

Yeah , I love white cars too..Where is Malaysia Statistic??..

I think the popularity of white is probabaly due to being safe. Even me, i would think that white cars are safer at night anf day. And it easily makes a car bigger in size. No wonder the new Vios is offered in white now. hahaha.

white is the color for BASIC model. thas my assumption why whites dominating the road.

Apparently Silver is still one of the most popular colors despite being the most boring (Silver is chosen by people who knows nothing about cars). This is because Silver commands a higher resale value than a car painted in say, red or green, in the 2nd hand car market. I don't know if it applies to our local 2nd hand car market though.

not too long ago white was never popular. it started from early 2005 and now its the popular choice of colour. i am an owner of solid white coloured car and i would say it is very hard to maintain it clean as the dirt and marking seems to stay even after washing and needs polishing to remove where as my silver coloured other car stays superbly clean. how ?? why??
