Some will say that the Cayman is an interpretation of a hard-top Boxster, but I’ve never agreed with that ideology. The Cayman is more focused, faster and with that fixed roof, has always had a completely different agenda than the Boxster. But when it comes to power and performance, the Cayman sits squarely in between the Boxster and 911. Launched at Zebra Sq in KL yesterday evening, this new iteration of Cayman promises an even smaller gap between the three models. Also breaking cover together with the Cayman were the Cayenne S Diesel and Cayenne Turbo S models.

RS Collectif heads for the Nissan-Renault roadshow @ Bangsar Shopping Complex.
Last Saturday, ‘(00) hopped in an RS250 (courtesy of TC Euro Cars) and participated in one of the largest Renault gatherings for a short drive from Renault’s PJ showroom towards Bangsar Shopping Center. The drive was a collaboration between RS Collectif (Renault’s enthusiast club) together with TC Euro Cars and saw participation from some 20 cars which included the Megane RS, Clio RS, and Megane R26. The purpose of the drive was for the club members to have a quick get-together over brunch, and for them to view the line-up in BSC where there was a Renault-Nissan roadshow.
Lamborghini’s 50th Anniversary Asia Drive sees the largest Bull gathering in Southeast Asia!
The month of May 2013 sees Automobili Lamborghini turn 50 years old. To celebrate, the marque has organized a grand tour across Italy; flagging off from Milan through Lombardia, Toscana, Rome, and finally stopping at Sant’Agata Bolognese, Lamborghini’s birthplace. As you might imagine, organizing such a run would be a logistic nightmare; especially when you have to ship in cars from all over the world. As such, participation was limited to only 350 slots, and with thousands of owners who wanted to expressed interest to join the drive, many were left disappointed.

REVIEW: Goodyear Eagle EfficientGrip
This review is long overdue, and I apologize in advance to Goodyear Malaysia. You see, some months back, I received a set of Goodyear Eagle EfficientGrip tyres which were put to test on my regular daily driver, a Civic FD1. My daily commute is a lengthy one, averaging 100-120km on a regular weekday. Given Goodyear’s claim of EfficientGrip being their quietest tyre, it was interesting to see just how they would perform.
Driven: Porsche Cayenne GTS – going green has never been this awesome!
Some would say the Cayenne GTS suffers from middle child syndrome. It’s not difficult to imagine why; the car slots in neatly, in almost every aspect, between the Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo siblings. Although the GTS looks very much like its Turbo brethren – flared wheel arches, big-intake front bumper, high gloss black trim, darkened LED taillights, quad exhaust pipes; it is closer related to the S model mechanically. And whilst most people wouldn’t be able to tell the GTS apart from the Turbo, sharp eyed readers will note the car’s matte black exhaust tips, and slightly different rear spoiler.
F2F with the elusive Lexus Fuji Apex – Malaysia’s only LFA
This might be hard to believe, but I first heard that there was an LFA in town, when doing my daily browsing on Zerotohundred.com. Yes, despite contributing here myself, news of an LFA in Malaysia had flown under my radar, and I had no idea one was headed down here. To set things straight, I made my way to Wing Hin’s Lexus showroom in Sg Besi, and set an appointment for some private time with the elusive machine.
Golf Mk7 breaks cover to Malaysian public; no prices yet, so watch out for our updates!

Earlier tonight, Volkswagen Group Malaysia (VGM) finally unveiled the seventh iteration of the Golf to the Malaysian public. In typical VW fashion, the launch was a well-planned event at an airplane hangar, with performances to entertain the crowd of both guests and media folk. Many of you would have no doubt already seen pics of the new Golf, but we’ve got to say that the new car looks much better in person than it does in pictures; more chiseled and angular than its predecessor.
