Volkswagen Cars Rated The Best In Safety by American Institute
November 7, 2008
Four Volkswagen models at once were awarded the best grade of “top safety pick” in the most recent publication of the independent US safety institute, “Insurance Institute for Highway Safety”. The models Golf, Jetta, Passat and Eos each earned the best evaluation in their respective categories, thus winning the renowned prize for themselves. Together with this same outstanding safety award presented to the Tiguan in August, these new awards place Volkswagen among the car manufacturers with the most top safety picks.
The Golf, which is sold in the USA under the name Rabbit, received the coveted award in the compact class. The Jetta and Passat were victorious in the midsize car class. The Eos won in the category “midsize
convertible”.
Oettinger Tuned VW Scirocco
October 13, 2008
The VW Scirocco doesn’t have to try very hard to look good, it already does straight out of the factory, to our eyes at least. It’s always a different story for tuners, somehow, there’s always room for improvement and when good tuners set their eyes on something, it usually comes out looking better but when a great tuner like (roll the drums) Oettinger set their eye on something, it gets faster as well.
2009 VW Golf GTI - Live Shots From Paris w/ Promo Video
October 2, 2008
Not due on our shores till mid-09, we’re guessing there still will be a considerable wait for the next generation Golf. Previewed at the on-going Paris Motor Show 2008, the new Golf GTI doesn’t look much different from the outside, the tout lines and stance look the same though the grill, lights, and some redesign work does make differentiating it possible.

VW Introduces Its Robust Pick-Up Truck
September 24, 2008
We reported on the VW pick-up named Robust a while ago and VW has finally lifted the wraps off its forthcoming 1-ton pick-up to reveal a pre-production model simple called ‘PickUp’ at the International Automobile Exhibition in Hanover. The concept carries a lot of the design cues from the production model except for maybe its interior.
Bugatti Veyron GT - Final Edition Veyron To Feature 1350hp and 425km/h
September 17, 2008
There’s nothing like the Bugatti Veyron, and if the disturbing trend of world oil prices continue, I’m guessing there will never be another machine like it, ever again. Common, quad-turbo’s, 1000hp, over 400km/h, it doesn’t get better than that unless Bugatti itself were to build another car to outclass itself, and that’s where things start to get interesting.
ZTH Drives: The Volkswagen Eos
September 10, 2008
Convertibles, as girly and poseur as they may be, are fun, a lot of fun. They may not be big here in Boleh-land due to our mad weather but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t any. Infact Volkswagen Group Malaysia (VGM) has brought down the Eos, one of the smoothest, coolest and dare I say, cutest convertibles to ever carry the VW badge.
Rumour: VW Microbus To Make A Comeback?
September 10, 2008
Back in 2001, VW presented its Microbus concept at the Geneva Motor Show. Many believed that it would see the light of day in 2005 as an attempt to revive the official flowerpower vehicle of the 60’s but that was before the US dollar took a plunge prompting VW boss Bernd Pischetsrieder to swing the axe on the concept. Sportier, Sleeker & More Masculine VW Beetle
September 4, 2008
One way or another, many people love the VW Beetle, although most just can’t get over its ‘cute’ and feminine styling. Knowing this well, the new Beetle will attempt to deviate from the ‘chick car’ image attached to it in the previous years. VW designers have been ordered to create a sportier, more modern and sleek style for the next-gen Beetle. Read more
