Nissan CEO Confirms Road-Bound GT-R Nismo in 2014!

The impressive and jaw-dropping Nissan GT-R might have terrorized several other auto marquees on circuits all over the world with its performance, and still does even after 5 years in production. Even so, after all those years, there had yet been a Nismo version for the GT-R ready to prowl the streets. The only GT-R Nismo that one could find now is only the GT3 spec racing car; but that is about to change with the confirmation of the road version of this terrifying machine.

Toyota’s Revised TS030 Hybrid Ready for Action!

The TS030 Hybrid’s debut over at last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans might have been marred by the unfortunate crash and technical difficulties suffered by this new Toyota race machine. But will that be an excuse for them to lay low on this year’s showdown over at Le Mans? Not a chance as Toyota had recently revealed their revised TS030 Hybrid at the first official testing of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Lamborghini’s New Gallardo GT3 FL2 Racecar Looks Absolutely Evil!

Other than their own one-make Super Trofeo race series, Lamborghini had yet to officially make an appearance into the motorsports scene for quite some time. Things are about to change as Lamborghini is again teaming up with the Bull specialist, Reiter Engineering to prep up a new Gallardo GT3 to compete in both 2013 and 2014 racing series.

When the thought of bringing up the electric car as an alternative to overcome the inescapable problem of the rising gas prices, some saw it as a brilliant idea; and there were others standing at the opposite side. The Finest Scale Model to Date – 1959 Aston Martin DBR1

While some express their passion towards cars through modifications or enjoying long drives, others do so by collecting scale models of their favorite marquee that brings a certain sentimental value to them. And although those in the scale of 1:24 or 1:18 had already projects a great amount of detail that nearly imitates the real one to the finest detail, this creation by Evanta Motor Company has got to be one of the best.

This is a model of a classic Aston Martin DBR1. And to those that might not know the story that comes with this car, it was a Le Mans racer back in 1959 with Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori on the wheels. Yes, it is the Carroll Shelby that various muscle cars had received his power touches and bears his name proudly. At one glance, the model looks properly done, with the fine details like the paintjob and the wheels looking almost like the real thing. Well it should be as this Aston Martin is actually in a 1:1 scale model!

A Bad Run for Toyota’s TS030 and Nissan’s DeltaWing at Le Mans 2012

“Each Le Mans is always unique”, said Romain Dumas, Audi’s factory driver.

And indeed he is right as this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans did see some new and unique entries into the grid, joining in the usual faces in endurance racing like Audi, Aston Martin and Corvette. Toyota made a surprising entry into the LMP1 class with two of their TS030 petrol-hybrid racers, challenging the champions bearing the Four Rings while Nissan had a unique entry into the race with their experimental DeltaWing, which is also its first appearance in any race.

17th BMW Art Car to race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

BMW’s Art Car has transcended through generations of race fans and has transformed itself into a cult where fans come up with their own versions of BMW Art Cars or even follow existing ones. The most famous of all BMW Art Car’s were possibly the E30′s of the 1980′s. And now the tradition continues with this new Jeff Koons-designed Art Car that was unveiled this week in Paris. Koon’s BMW M3 GT2 is the 17th Art Car unveiled since the programme’s creation in 1977.

Four Part Video Celebrating The 24-hours of Le Mans All Over Again

If you’re on this site then chances are you are an enthusiastic petrol head that loves races and fast cars and basically anything that keeps your adrenalin pumping. Even a 100hp Fiat Panda would do if that’s what keeps you going but I’m sure you get my drift. This brings me to the topic of this post, celebrating the 24 hours of Le Mans. This legendary race has been with us for over a 100 years now, it celebrated its centenary existence back in 2006, so why are we replaying these videos again?
