Audi’s mighty hybrid race machine, the R18 e-tron Quattro continues to pave its way to the top of the ranks as it added another victory under its belt for endurance racing, after winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2012. Their 11th win is also a special mark to celebrate as it is the first hybrid car to have ever won the 12 Hours of Sebring.
With hopes to draw the championship’s crown away from the other competitors, Audi had recently unveiled its latest machine in conquering the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters or DTM, at Geneva. Replacing last year’s A5 DTM racer is the all-new and non-compromising 2013 RS 5 DTM.
Playing paintball in undoubtedly a lot of fun, but at the same time involves a lot of energy. Running around and hunting down the opposing forces is one thing, but getting hit by those fast-moving paintballs is just excruciating. So if you are looking for a solution to play the game without actually putting yourself on the line, Audi might have come up with a very surprising solution.
We’ve spotted the A6 Hybrid parked close to the ‘(00) headquarters before, but it was only earlier today when Euromobil Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM Group and official importer of Audi in Malaysia, launched the all-new Audi A6 Hybrid. The A6 Hybrid marries the efficiency of a four-cylinder engine with the performance of a six-cylinder, and adds a chapter to the Audi A6 success story.

While the debut of Toyota’s TS030 at last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans did not go well as expected, being plagued by mechanical difficulties and a major crash, they did prove that Audi now has a new and strong competitor to keep an eye on during endurance racing. During the 2012 Season of the FIA World Endurance Championship, the TS030 snatched a couple of victories that on some occasion really startled the Four Rings.
If you have yet to hear the latest news about the electrifying R8 e-Tron, this promising electric supercar project from Audi was put on hold and put under review. Due to the high battery costs and the performance when compared to an existing yet less expensive electric car like Tesla’s Model S sedan, Audi’s newly-appointed head of R&D Wolfgang Durheimer decided to put the project on hold for the time being.
Right after the excitement of Zerotohundred‘s very own TTA#3, we headed back to Sepang, having been invited by Audi for their Driving Experience 2012. The event spanned four days with participation strictly invite-only, spread between Audi’s customers and select members of the media. And laid out on track for us to test were some of Ingolstadt’s finest: a fleet of S6, S7, and S8 along with an R8GT, R8GT Spider and TT-RS pace cars.
On events like TIMETOATTACK, the action and eye-candies does not necessarily have to be at the pits or the circuit itself. Actually if you are brave enough to fight or ignore the heat, you could actually find some great gems sitting idly at the parking lot. Don’t believe me? Supercar manufacturers are the ones taking the most advantage of China’s rising as they are making a lot of efforts to woo more customers such as releasing a China-only special, like Audi’s new R8 China Edition.
So here we have it, the all-new Audi RS 6 Avant. And like the whole Audi lineup, anything that bears the lettering “RS” is nothing to be made fun with, even if it is in the form of a tame, deceivingly-looking urban wagon. But unlike the previous RS 6 that houses a monstrous V10 under the hood, this one has a V8 instead; so no more oomph from this Deutschland sleeper?
