Some might view Sundays as a perfect opportunity to kick in and have some time out, which also includes hanging up the car keys to let the engine rest for a bit. While that might have sounded great for some, the Emperor Touge guys however prefer to do otherwise. Rather than snoozing off the sunny Sunday morning of 30th September, they fired up their rides to again conquer the twisty uphill course of Genting Highlands for the umpteenth time.
With the aim of proving that they got what it takes to survive the daunting 12-hour race, the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race had always attracted numerous participations from racing teams all over. And with these participations, a lot of impressive racing machines showed up with various setups and complex aerodynamics, instantly showing that they really mean business in crossing the checkered flag after a long and hard race.
As much as we Malaysians complain about our beloved country, we truly are a lucky bunch. We have some of the best roads this side of the world, lenient traffic police that we still complain about anyway even as we cruise down our ‘ways at 160km/h, and we have access to some of the best cars in the world if money is no object.
