Meeting Up with the Honda Specialist; Chris Tan from Pentagon Racing

Pentagon Racing, based in Kuala Lumpur, is one of Malaysia’s most recognized tuning house for anything Honda. Namely the K20A powered Type-Rs. Setting highly respectable lap times and leaving their mark at top Malaysian circuit events has brought them into the spotlight.

Being one of the must-show faces at TIMETOATTACK, we met up with Chris at Honda-specialist’s headquarters, and had a little chat about their progress in the pursuit for that magical lap time. It is to our amazement though that the car that used to represent Pentagon (driven by Chris) during the 2012 round had already changed hands earlier this year.

RS-Collectif Boys Flexing their Muscles at TC Eurocars’ 9th Track Day!

We were invited by TC Eurocars last Saturday to experience what they have arranged for their current RS model customers in Sepang. A RenaultSport Track Day, where the owners and avid drivers can unleash the full potential of their ‘pocket rocket’ on the circuit. This is not a first for TC Eurocars, rather since the launch of the Megane RS250 in Malaysia in 2010; this track day held on the 30th March 2013 is the 9th track day, specially organised for the RS Collectif boys.

Over 30 cars and owners turned up at Sepang International Circuit to enjoy themselves, alongside, the Lotus Club that were also invited this round to join the RS Collectif boys for a day of motorsports fun. It was an absolute joy to watch the Lotus and Renaults collaborating, understanding that these cars are EQUALLY ‘at-home’ on the circuit. The closed surrounding of SIC also induces the driver’s confidence to push to the limit, in a safe environment.

Peugeot 208 to Arrive in Malaysia (Mid-April)

Mok’s Strategy Pays Off as He Clinches the Victory in the MSS GT Class – Race 1

Although Mok Weng Sun only managed to end up in fourth position during qualifying, that is certainly not an indicator for him to miss in taking home the checkered flag. From pole position to the checkered flag; Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel proves that to master the Sepang International Circuit, one would have to prepare for any surprises that may arise like the ever-changing weather. Although it poured earlier on, the taps dried out just before the race, allowing Vettel to secure the win for the 2013 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix.
