It shows life at the ‘Ring during the 24 hour race, one of the most grueling but loved endurance race. Its a video worth watching in HD and worth every second of the 13 minutes it runs for.
Endurance races are no easy task, it puts both man and machine to the ultimate test of physical and mechanical abilities. So that’s why a team needs to be in great physical shape and the car they drive needs to be even tougher. Drivers may take turns to race every two or three hours but the car has to keep going for 24-hours non-stop, that is demanding and makes the choice of race car one the most important aspects of a endurance race team. Customer deliveries of the Lotus Evora has only just begun and now Lotus introduces the first race-ready version of it’s newest model – the Type 124 Evora. In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of its only overall win in the Franco Enduro, Aston Martin is set to tackle the 2009 24-hours of Le Mans in this – a pair of Gulf liveried LMP1 race cars. The two coupes are based on the 2008 Charouz Racing System Lola and will be powered by the same production-based V12 found in the LeMans GT1 DBR9.
