ondgennis, not joining us?

sound like you are riding RD2 / Hyundai Coupe Turbelence .

basically RD2 and RD1 having the same engine. If that's the case, there are successful case of doing 4G93T (EVO), 4G63T (GSR) conversion.

try avoid bolt-on Turbo will be my advice, better take the half-cut and convert it.
1 of the Coupe Club member did his 4G63T (220 hp) onversion with my mech. His Coupe is a daily ride, always running up and down Rawang and Klang Valley without problem.

Yupe, my 1.8 Coupe is underpower also. The respond of my car is quite slow. Thought of converting it to 4G63T.

Haven thought of which type of engine yet because I've changed my plan. Just wanna tuned it without engine transplant rite now. Coz I've heard people sayin that a Turbo engine is hard to maintain. The engine bay might fit in the V6 but bout JPJ approval for the mounting changes I'm not so sure bout it! The 2.7 V6 engine that BSamurai mention bout is Hyundai's state-of-the-art engine for it's third gen Coupe.

getting an engine with no modification on the mounting will be the best conversion.

guys,
As i said earlier on the other tread. You guys should give the BETA engine a chance man. It is a engine that has a lot of potential. It is also capable of going turbo without any reliability problem. Why? because its block is made of iron (the same material that used on Skyline RB26DETT. A proper bolt on with 0.5 bar of pressure won't do any damage and give you close to 200hp which is sufficient enought. But still I would say go for NA tune first to get the potetial out of it.
