Louis..if budget is a hindrance..it is better to go for the 3SGE BEAMS engine. For normal daily uses it is better to stick to NA. The cost of 1JZ conversion is ridiculously expensive and not worth the money unless u are the sort that is crazy for BHP and have spare money lying ard! With the petrol price increase....u will appreciate the NA engine.

Hi Louis,
Depending what you want and what is your budget.
Compared to your 1G-FE.

3S-GE : Power is quite good with good economy
Half cut price also reasonable.
1JZ-GTE : Very Powerful with reasonable economy
Half cut price is...... well if can afford it then no problem.

Again up to you........ BTW Auto or Manual.

Still in decision stage now. Don't know want to spend $$ to over-haul my engine or just save those $$ to swap in another better engine

the most u will spend for 1jz-gte conversion(half cut + labor) is rm15k and maybe cheaper if u choose auto transmission.

i drive my car everyday. full tank can make around 400-430kms. from my opinion, better go for 1jz.
