Default turbo suggestion

hi sifu-sifu,

for a 1054cc engine, targeting around 160-180whp, 7500rpm max, prefer boost to come before 3krpm.

what is the best turbine can get? rojak or original also can..

assuming money is not a major problem. please give your suggesstion.

thanks

Thanks for the reply guys..

I though about garrett gt20 too..based on online calculator my setup need around 2.5-2.6PR (1.5 bar).

how much would the gt20 cost? Sdf do you mind quote me a price for gt20?

If i go the cheaper way..can rhf4 exhaust housing be fitted to rhf5? Or can i fit rhf5 compressor side to the rhf4? Rhf4 seem at be at their limit on 180hp..at 1.5bar. While rhf5 (vf34??) from legacy single turbo will seem to lag a lot on 1.0 engine.

How about using complete td04l gsr twin fin or td05 13g vr4 without rojak? Can it meet my goal and will it be too laggy?

Sorry for the long question..i dont want to go wrong with the turbine..

can i use ar48 from ca18det? will it be very lag?

how about if use whole td04l gsr will it be very lag?

turbo lag is determine by what? the compressor housing or exhaust housing? why my 1.0 engine can put 1.8 (td04l gsr without rojak) turbine?

sifu-sifu pls explain to me..

isnt lag u need to worry 1st..boost threshold u need to worry 1st then u will consider the lag factor...turbine housing ratio is most important thing of all.. it will determine the characteristic of ur engine boosting...rule of thumb...bigger a/r turbine= more power...bigger turbine=higer boost threshold=higher spool up time = worst enginering = worst performance..

ur question 1.0 can put 1.8 turbine?..my ans is hayabusa with gt40 turbine..how come hayabusa used gt40?

find ur redline limit..horsepower target..engine displacement..engine setup character.. these will help u find the rite turbo for u...

thanks bro..

by turbine housing u mean is the exhaust housing rite?

bigger a/r compressor housing = more flow, less boost rite? then bigger compressor fin + bigger housing = more flow more boost = more lag is this correct? by fitting a small exhaust side to a big compressor side can solve lag problem but what is the disadvantage?

i understand what u trying to say 1.3 hayabusa put gt40 becos they have very high rpm so lag isnt a problem.

my redline limit is 7.5krpm so mean i put td04l gsr my off boost performance would be like shit rite? can this be avoided by using smaller exhaust housing? what exhaust housing can put at td04l gsr? i want little lag and good top end power (is this even possible?)

ur statement regarding bigger a/r compressr housing = more flow.. idont said it wrong but not too rite la..for me bigger the fin= more air flow..u should not worry about the compressor housing a/r..the effect can be neglected ..then u said less boost?? i donno y u said this...may be i dont understand ur statement

then "bigger compressor fin + bigger housing = more flow more boost = more lag is this correct"
i donno where is this come from...no comment.."fitting a small exhaust side to a big compressor side can solve lag problem"...yup..that is a simplest thing to correct spool up time...small turbine mean less power..but responsive at low rpm...top end.....Dont ever think about it....

"i put td04l gsr my off boost performance would be like shit rite" i donno u built the engine..but if u used complet 1.8 turbocharger to u 1.0L engine..i think ur engine will suffer to feed the turbo..find smaller turbine a/r rojak it tdo4l

" i want little lag and good top end power (is this even possible?)"---man made turbo not turbo made man...

gud luck with ur project..there is alot of successfull rojak/hybrid turbo been done to feed 1L engine...Happy BOOSTINGGI
