Hi all sifu,

any one have experience of change ecu for grand livina?

currently i changed open pot air filter. and custom made 4-1 and complete set exhaust.

after send to nissan service center to reset setting.

Which e-manage you are referring to? normal e-manage blue is around 1k excluding installation + tuning, while e-manage ultimate is double that price.

Bear in mind that you will still be using your current ECU for a piggyback like e-manage. Unless you are talking about standalone.

additional function in E-Manage Ultimate:
- speed cut removal
- launch control (for certain cars only)
- 2 sets of mapping (suitable for forced induction cars)
- external switch for change mapping (as above)
- additional reading of sensors

E-Manage Ultimate - 256 tuning point increment by 0.5%
E-Manage Blue - 256 tuning point increment by 1%

for your car I believe e-manage blue is sufficient enough, as you won't be fully utilizing the additional functions in e-manage ultimate.

bro,

i dun think air filter n ekzos will affect ur rpm to 2k

is everything done properly? no leaking?

if u wanna instal emanage to solve the rpm issue, better double confirm wit the tuner 1st

if u ask me, i dun think thats the cause

how big is ur exhaust pipe?
for ur 1.6, i think max pipe is 1.5 inch diameter.correct me if wrong.
before u do piggyback, there r other things u can do too.
eg, customised a heat shield for ur open pod, etc.

there r other piggyback in the market that u can consider.
unichip(1 of the dealer in JB sucks), safc neo etc
these r piggy back too....
safc neo can tune ur ...ok, 1.6 no mivec/vtec/ctv ...

huakenny.
yes it need to remap the ecu because when u change to open pot air filter and the piping the sensor need to recognized new input of air. the original rubber piping i change too. will upload pic soon. try today upload let u see.
ijnek.
for my piping i use back original size which i dont know size. but only change the flow of air out. for piping im not very sure. what i do is i send my whole exhaust pipe to factory the designer design one.
