Default DEFI replacement sensors

Hey guys,

Anyone know if we can use other sensors to fit into DEFI control unit II? I heard we can use auto gauge sensors, which I do not know how true it is. Any ideas?

By the way, anyone knows the detail spec of DEFI sensors?

No. Not recommended as it will not produce accurate results.

U can always order replacements from Australia (way cheaper than Japan). But, the catch... local Customs will tax u 35% (20% tax for car parts and 10% sales tax)!

Not accurate is another factor to cosider... Doable or not, is another factor.

Do you happen to have the detail spec of sensors?

Here's the list of Defi parts: http://www.defi-shop.com/parts/parts_top.html

U can order some locally but many such as wiring + sockets are only available overseas. Local dealers are either too lazy to keep stock or just don't want to keep replacement parts.

BTW, what happen to ur original sensors? Those are very difficult to get damage. Unless... "..."

auto gauge sensors? i think those are mechanical.. and DEFI are mostly electronic.. so i think they will not talk at all..

further more.. do you consider that the auto guage might demage your DEFI control unit? why take those risk?

You still dont get what I'm trying to achive here....

DEFI sensors are not cheap, perhaps between RM300 - RM400, or even more. I'm pretty sure those sensors don't really worth that much. If I have the detail spec of the sensors, I can build one myself. I have seen a few sites in US, selling replacement DEFI sensors. So stop asking me to order from here or there, that's not what I'm trying to achive.

They do have electrical gauges. Hmmm regarding damaging, unless the vol/ohm (or what ever you called it) are supplying more than the control unit can take it, then I think it will damage the control unit.
