actually the tax is handled by the customs officer in charge. it is entirely up to him/her to assess the taxable amount. so slow talk to the officer, explain that it is educational/computer or whatever that is tax-free. that way u can escape from paying tax, while not paying any bribes...

As you can see, many want it as cheap as possible and try to dodge the tax. If I were to be the distributor, I have no way to run away from tax and that will hike the price up. Who will be interested to buy then?

The best way is what I do now. Buy it themselves, and if they want me to do it for them, then we can always negotiate the w/manship to have it done to their need. Then I'll not have that heartache feelings to the peoples who are not patriotic to their own country. Bear in mind that those taxes you pay are the money that will contribute to the growth of this country. If we, the citizens are not supporting it, then who will?

To not sound political there is some truth in the above statement but what to do. I am sure if you registered a company and apply for licence under the MSC banner there is exemption. Do it like a school where those interested will come to your workshop to learn and piece together their kit.... What say u? I will definately need your skill and time to tune my set-up....

hi all,

sorry if i ask some silly questions, about to place my order in diyautotune but couldn't find any DB37 cover with hardware and gasket in the shopping list? also another one missing was the PCB3.0 heatsink only??? how could i purchase it then?

also another last question, on the IAT open and closed sensors, which one should i choose? the connector or pigtail types for both??

Open your eyes wider and browse around.

DB37 - (MetalDB37Cov):
http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/w...0554d8e9c3e01f

Heatsink only (MSx30-HS):
http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/c...0554d8e9c3e01f

IAT open/closed element:
If you use turbo choose open element IAT. If non turbo, closed element can do the job. Open element is more sensitive but not as robust as closed element.

Either connector type will do. If you choose pigtail, then they have crimped a short length of wire to the sensor connector for your ease of installation. Otherwise you have to do the crimping yourself which are also easy if you have the experience or patience.

hit the track for the 1st time with megasquirt. so far so good. i must say the fuel consumption has drastically been improved!!! usually i would pump full tank before leaving for circuit, and after 3 hours of track session, and also the trip to and from the circuit, no petrol leftover! with megasquirt, i have quarter tank of petrol left!

hehehe this really offers "more power, better fuel consumption", unlike those surbo and microcompressor which are empty promises....
