Default exhaust setting pro and cons

hi swifters,

just want to recap with you guys..need a lot of info sharing regarding this.

what is your exhaust setting?

header? 4-1, 4-2-1
exhaust pipe? 1.75", 2", 2.2", 2.5"
mid section? bullet? oval? combine of both? std? or none at all
end can / tail pipe? straight oval? bullet? S flow? std 2 pipe? mugen?
straight pipe to tail?

how much performance gain using your setting?
how's the DB (noise) level?
fuel consumption?

brand? hotbits? border? FGK? 5zigen? hks? RSR? etc...

how's is the std gti pipe set...i heard, they've a after market stock from spore...rm3++

just have the 4-1 from hotbits and straight out flow exhaust pipe system. should give u more high end torque

4-1 header
2" piping
mid - bullet
tail muffler - last time bullet, now change to s flow
noise level - silent
top speed -
i like it.. silent power

exhaust pipe - 1.8" inlet, 2.0" outlet
mid section - bullet
end can / tail pipe - 5zigen border 304
how much performance gain using your setting? still not enought for me... (maybe need to re-install)
how's the DB (noise) level - damn loud
fuel consumption? macam air

Header - 4-1(custom)
Exhaust pipe - 2.2"
Mid section - bullet
End can/tail pipe - straight flow
Brand - 5zigen border 304 max

how much performance gain using your setting - unknow
how's the DB (noise) – like vtec halus
fuel consumption – (terpulang pd kaki menekan)

wow...3 swifters use 5zigen border:-
1. amatabx
2. candy
3. wbt4777

hotbits 4-1? i heard they enlarge the bore a bit.better that cultus 4-1.
hotbits 4-2-1 at speedworks good for top speed.
i'd try complete set hotbits (my ex-cultus) Rm1k +++ (4-2-1 header, 1.8" pipe, oval mid section, S flow tail pipe)..+ open pod K&N filter which speedworks claim to have additional 5-10hp gain..But seems like it restrict of flow. for Db is good.

what about others..we could share knowledge among us which we didn't realise its part of the simple upgrade that will effect more.

do you notice that when you change the mid section, the cabin noise level increase like echo.
some gti produce more and some less..just want to know what brand do you use esp the bullet? whatabout CAT? i'd try FGK oval 18" length but useless.

anyone had try the S flow at mid section?

S flow at tail pipe seems lost of power but some guy prefer it cause less noise level..what brand do you use? i saw Gen 2 fit nicely.

Im using the 4-1 cultus extractor with 2 inch piping with mid 5 zigen with end can sebrings.. last time use 5 zigen border max with jasma approved but then too noisy feel like sitting in the jet plane.. hahahah.. cannot tahan the telinga.. so, change back to sebrings.. currently still kept the border for just hepi2 use..
