there is no such thing as cheap genuine proton parts, but there are expensive genuine parts available...anyways...if you;re using proton, dont bother buying original parts, get your parts from spare parts shop, ask for made in japan ones if u wan reliability....if kinda out of budget, get hold of taiwan parts....nowdays taiwan parts are good quality...
for example i asked for 1 unit lower arm from proton, they quoted me rm400++ for 1 bloody lower arm, i went to spare part shop, got a brand new lower arm but made in japan......only rm160++...

btw wat car are u using?
last time when i was using sgti, i called up proton service centre for quote on timing belt + water pump change, they quoted me rm900++.....
so then i bought the timing belt myself, RM150, water pump RM100, both better quality than proton, total costs + workmanship RM350++.....
so u can decide for youself....

Bros, I'm driving a Honda City 2009 auto tranny. Everything is still stock except changing to drop-in filter. Planning to change to to open pod filter. Is it advisable to do so or should i just stick back to drop-in. What other things I can change?
